Blue Fire followed the stallion all of the way to the meadow. She was amazed by the beautiful flowing river. When she got there she started to eat some of the green grasses that grew along the bank of the river. So he calls this place 'Mystic' eh? I don't think it's that great! Blue Fire thought. She was annoyed right now.
"Why do you call this place Mystic River? Oh, I'm not afraid of being a part of a herd and I am called Blue Fire." Blue said with her mouth full. She was chomping up most of the grass. Se couldn't help it if she was acting like a fat pig. She snorrted at a fly that landed on her nose.

"Okay then, Blue Fire, I can tell your name explains a lot about you. Blue means cold and Fire means fiesty. I call it Mystic River because, well, just wait until night fall." Blizzard said, watching the mare curiously. She sure was hungry! It was evening, the time to be getting ready for the show. The time when the river glows a beautiful blue and the clouds are a dark purple. He wondered if the mare liked him. She seemed interested in him, but, then again, she didn't. He went over and stood beneath his ledge. Blue Fire was still eating and that made Blizzard wonder. Why does she eat so much? Is it because she hasn't ate in days? If she keeps eating like that she might get colic.... Blizzard thought.

"Thanks for the meaning of my name, Captain Obvious. I will wait until night fall to see how mystic this place really is!" Blue Fire said in a cocky tone. She kept on eating when it grew darker. The river was glowing a flourescent blue color and the clouds turned a dark, shiny purple. The load of grass she had in her mouth fell to the ground. She gasped. Her jaw hung in awe. She looked toward the stallion. She was amazed by the look on his face.

"Captain Obvious, eh?" Blizzard asked. He liked the thought of being a captain. When the darkness rolled in and the clouds turned purple and the river turned blue, her loved the look on her face. When she looked at him he gave her an I-told-you-so-now-you-beleive-me-don't-you look. He laughed at the way her face was.
"So, who is the smart one now?" He asked. "Do you like me?" He asked in a curious tone. He wondered what she would say. He awaited an answer patiently. He wondered if she would say yes. He stood there gazing at her when she answered. She looked like she was a paint in the light of the river.

"Don't give me that look. Quit laughing. I am the smart one and yes I do like you. Now, do you want to have a foal?" Blue Fire asked. This sure was a weird argument. She walked over to him, well, rather she pranced over to him, and stopped right in front of his face. She stood there, waiting for an answer. She got tired of standing still, so she pranced over to the side of the one mountain, the light of the river barely reaching the area. She liked tohe faint glow of light. It made her feel beautiful. She wondered what a foal would look like. It would have to be blueish colored, or maybe a wild color like red roan. May be a flea bitten color.

"A f-foal? W-with you?" Blizzard asked as she pranced over to him. She looked so beautiful in the dim light of the river. When she got up close to his muzzle, her breath felt warm and smelled of flowers. Blizzard was so caught up in his fantasizing that he didn't even notice she had took off. He soon snapped out of his daze and took off after the mare. He galloped over to her. When he got there she seemed to be in deep thought. He interupted her thoughts with a nice little moment of speaking his mind. "Would you like to get that foal making started now?" Blizzard asked her. He pranced around her, his head held high and his tail waving behind him like a flag.

She let out a light laugh when the stallion stuttered back there, then she spoke. "Well, if you do want a foal, we had better start, don't cha think?" She asked. She walked up to him and cuddled close to him. She playfully nipped him and then she stopped and stood there for a while. She knew what he would do. He would be a man and follow his gut. She knew stallions, that's for one! She watched the river, flowing slowly and peacefully through the center of the place. She looked up above and gazed at the purple clouds.

Blizzard awoke with a huge yawn. He had decided to lie down last night, ya know, go back to his foal ways. He stood up, still drowsy from being up half of the night. He walked over the the river and drank some of the water. He ate some grass and then he decided to trot around a bit. He trotted over to the other side of the valley, where he raced himself back to the other side. He galloped slowly over there. The Standardbred in him made him gaited, so he had a bumpy gallop and canter. He walked over to Blue Fire and sstood beside her. "Good morning sunshine." He said in a deep voice.

Blue Fire had snuggled up next to Blizzard that night. When he got up, she flopped over on her side. When he stood up, he almost fell over, which made Blue Fire laugh. She went back to sleep and he woke her up when he said good morning sunshine. She stood up and walked over to the river, got a drink, and ate some grass. "I was thinking about foal names. I like Dragonfly Daze and Summer Dreams." She said. She wanted twins, but she knew it was uncommon and that one or both of them usually died.

"Those names sound nice. Are you hoping for twins by any chance?" He asked. He trotted around her twice and then grew bored. "Do you wanna race?" He asked. He was bored in this place. The sun was beating down now. He didn't like the 100 degree weather they were expeirencing. He walked over to the river and splashed around. Then he laid in the cool water that flowed from an underground spring. He drank some water and rolled over a few times. He loved the water! He wasn't near as hot now. Blue Fire didn't seem to like water, because she hid from the rain. If his foal or foals were afraid of water, he would make them not be. He rolled in the water one more time and then he got up and walked over to Blue Fire.
